One Month!!!

Little Mister is 1 month!!

John Michael has had a busy month!!!  He turned one month on Dec. 15th.  He also go to finally meet his Aunt Jamie and cousins Lila and Nora, who he adore.  On December 17th he was Baptized at St. Therese Church where Dan and I were married.  His Godparents are my brother and sister-in-law Bobby and Angela Wooldridge.  John was fantastic during the baptism, he didn't cry, he just let out a little bit of enjoyment from his back end when the priest stopped talking.  So it made us giggle!!  It was his I am sooo happy poop!  On the 18th he made it through his first Poppa Christmas and then got to meet Santa at his Cousin Madison and Auntie Liz's house!!!

Dan and I are very excited to spend John Michael's first Christmas with our wonderful family and friends.  Merry Christmas and we hope everyone has a fun and safe Holiday Season with their families.  John Michael can't wait to meet all of his new friends!!  Here are some pics of John Michael being a goof ball in his Santa Suit, his baptism and Poppa Christmas!!!

Introducing: John Michael Wooldridge

John Michael was born November 15, 2011 @ 5:28pm.  He was 5 lbs 4 oz and 19 inches long.
We were not expecting to have a baby on Tuesday, we were scheduled for an ultra sound to see how big he was.  My mom and Joyce came with me for the ultrasound and to our shock, they said he is small for 39 weeks and that there was not enough amniotic fluid surrounding him.  SO, we "ran" or walked fast over to labor and delivery to be admitted.  Dan came shortly after I was in bed and getting an IV.  The nurses in labor and delivery were AMAZING and kept an eye on me
the entire time.  Our doctor came in and said that knowing about the fluid and his size, that they wanted to try Pitocin to see if he was able to handle labor and contractions.  He was a trooper for a while, until the Pitocin was upped really high to get a good contraction and his little heart rate dropped drasticly.  The 3 nurses that were hanging out with me ran in, placed me on oxygen and then came our Dr. who said it was time for a C-Section because they said he was intolerant to labor and contractions.  Super scary for Dan and I to be rushed around being placed on the table and

prepped, but all worth it.  I was always against a C-Section unless medically necessary, it's a very different experience and I had my little freak out moment when I was all numb and unable to move.  Dan was awesome and calmed me down.  Before we knew it John was here and they put him over the curtain for us to see and he was PERFECT!  My little peanut.  In recovery he latched on immediately and has been a pretty good little feeder.  We have had a lot of visitors which is fantastic because John loves to meet his family and loves being held by his cousins.

The first pic is of Madison and baby John.  Next is Helen and baby John and then Jack, Grandma Scantlin and Baby John.  We are so very blessed and happy to have such wonderful family and friends around.  We hope that everyone has a great Thanksgiving!!!  We will be at home Cozy and Warm.  Come Christmas we will make our rounds.  Love you all.  I want to wish Emma and soon to be baby Payton and Lisa and soon to be baby twins a great and speedy delivery!  I hope you two pop soon.

Fun at NKC Hospital!

Dan and I went for our 38 week appt today.  We are 38 wks 2 days, only 12 days left!!!  We are super excited and can hardly wait to meet him.  Little Mr. has been stubborn when it comes to moving, I think he's getting a little too comfy because with out being coerced, he gets content and just moves when the mood strikes him!  I know the fetal movement slows considerably as there is not much space to move, however I still get nervous.  Appt went well, I am 50% effaced and 1 cm dilated.  So, some progress, but not as much as I'd hope.  But he is right on track for them.

For the past couple of days, I have had extreme headaches that Tylenol is not taking care of, so I had my BP checked and it was high.  Throughout this pregnancy my BP has been fantastic which is unusual for me, but hey I'll take it.  So, because of his lazy movement and my high BP they sent me for a non stress test.  4 hours after being hooked up to the monitors and my BP fluctuating between 139-1542 systolic and 80-94 diastolic, they have placed me on bed rest for the rest of my pregnancy and if my diastolic goes above 90 while on bed rest then I have to call and more than likely they will admit me.  They were very hesitant on letting me go today, but were hoping that my BP will correct itself with rest.  Blood work and tests came back fantastic so other than high BP baby and I are well.  Sucks that this will be the second time being placed on bed rest, and if you truly know me, I am not good at following orders or laying around.  I kinda need to be working or doing something, BUT for little Mr. I will be good!!

On Tuesday we have an ultrasound set up to see how big John is measuring!!  They did give me permission to come in for that, so there's a highlight for the week.  If I get an updated pic I will post it!  That's all the fun that is happening for now!!  I can't wait to spend the Holiday's with John Michael and our family and friends.  Hope my mommy friends that are due this month and next have a speedy delivery and can get some rest before the kiddos arrive!

36 Weeks 3 days!

I have been really bad about updated baby boy's blog!!  Friday we went for our 36 week appt and everything is right on track.  Little guy kinda of gave them a scare because they thought he flipped back and wasn't head down, so we had yet another ultrasound, which showed he is still head down,

just stubborn and
has not engaged yet.  My cervix is softening but not dilated yet.  But that is just fine, we were hoping for him to come a little early and maybe on Grandpa Mike's birthday which was Oct. 29, but John has other plans!!!  Which ever person's birthday he chooses to land on in November will be fine too.. He has a lot to choose from.

Oct 22, I had a fantastic baby shower put on by my mother- in- law and sister-in-laws.  It was a fantastic cowboy themed party with loving family and friends.  I don't have the pics to post, but I hope to get some up soon.  I want to thank all my family and friends who helped with both baby showers, they were fantastic and fun.  Little man is sure loved and has some fabulous clothes and toys!!  I will try and be better about posting weekly now that we are in the home stretch.  I hope my other mommy & mommy to be friends are doing well!!
